Nursery Wall Art

The best nursery art is something the child will still like at eight and you will still like at forty. That rules out most of what is sold as nursery decor and leaves the paintings on this page: soft, bright, and made by people who could really paint.

Van Gogh's Almond Blossoms is the classic, painted for his own newborn nephew, and it is offered up to 20 × 16 inches for above a crib. Dürer's Young Hare is the gentlest animal picture ever made. Klee's Red Balloon and Castle and Sun are color and shapes a toddler can read. Renoir's girl with a watering can and Homer's boys playing snap-the-whip grow with the child. For a calmer wall there is Monet's water lilies and Cassatt's mother bathing a child.

A practical point: our prints are canvas on a wood stretcher, with no glass, so there is nothing to shatter and nothing heavy to fall. They hang on a single picture hook and a gallery-wrapped Mini or Petite weighs less than a book. The floater-frame option in white or light wood suits a nursery well. Every print is made to order on archival cotton canvas; Any print over $100 ships free anywhere in the USA, smaller prints ship for a flat $10, and every order is delivered within five business days.
