Gallery Wall Sets

A gallery wall works when the pieces share something: a size, a frame color, a palette, or a mood. Everything on this page is offered in our two smallest sizes, Mini (8 in on the short edge) and Petite (11 in), so you can pick any three, four, or six and know they will hang as a set without one print shouting over the rest.

A few combinations we would hang ourselves. Three Japanese prints in a row: The Great Wave, Red Fuji, and Hiroshige's plum park, all in the Petite size with a black floater frame. A warm square trio: Klimt, Klee's Senecio, and af Klint's swans. A quiet Dutch column: Vermeer's Astronomer over Dürer's hare over the Little Street. Or a tall Art Nouveau pair, Mucha's Four Seasons beside Zodiac, either side of a mirror.

Practical notes. Keep the gaps between prints even, two to three inches, and hang the center of the group at about 57 inches from the floor. If you mix orientations, anchor with one square piece in the middle. Order every piece in the same frame color and the wall will read as one decision.
