Bedroom Wall Art

Bedroom art should make the room quieter, not louder. The paintings on this page were chosen for soft palettes, gentle subjects, and light that looks like early morning or late evening: Klimt's gold, Van Gogh's blossoms, Monet's pond, Vermeer's still rooms, and the reclining figures painters have been hanging in bedrooms for four centuries.

The classic placement is above the headboard. Choose a print about two-thirds the width of the bed: for a queen, that is our Large size for most paintings, or a wide Medium for the panoramic ones. Hang it so the bottom edge sits eight to ten inches above the headboard. The other good wall is opposite the bed, where you see the picture first thing in the morning; a Medium or Small at eye level from the pillow works there. Dresser walls take a pair of Petites or one Small.

Gallery-wrapped canvas is the calmer look in a bedroom; a white or light wood floater frame suits pale walls. Every print is giclée on archival cotton canvas, made to order in our studio, and Any print over $100 ships free anywhere in the USA, smaller prints ship for a flat $10, and every order is delivered within five business days.
